Unlike the majority of children’s readers available on the market, Fun Phonics Readers have been produced in a big A4 full color format with 20 stories per book. Why? Well...
We wanted to produce a book packed with lots of fun, colorful and easy-to-understand illustrations to guide and aid students' reading and to also stimulate their interest in books.

However, the primary reason for producing readers in this format was the affordability to schools and teachers. We found from our own experience (being school owners ourselves) that if we wished to implement a reading program in classes where all students were able to read the same stories in class at the same time, with all other readers on the market where individual stories were produced in individual books and then sold as sets, this meant that our school had to buy between 6 – 12 sets of each book. The cost of this can run into the thousands of dollars and become a huge expense for small schools.
This is why we have produced a set of books that contain 20 stories per book. For the majority of schools' business models, it is very manageable to include one book per student per year in the students' yearly text fee at a very reasonable price.
This is a very affordable and cost effective way to introduce a reading program into your school!

Phonics & Vocabulary Again, these new phoincs targets are introduced in stories that correspond with the Finding Out 2 unit number, helping students to reinforce, review and see the language that they are studying in context, hence helping them to absorb language at a deeper level.

Language
Language from book 2 complements language targets from each respective unit of Finding Out 2.
Language targets are constantly recycled allowing students to review language studied in class, view it in context and aiding their understanding.

Phonics & Vocabulary
Fun Phonics Reader Book 1 contains 20 beautifully illustrated stories. Additionally, Book 1 contains all phonics from Finding Out 1.
Stories 1 - 12 contain vowels and consonants only, while stories 13 - 20 contain all double combinations (e.g. ee, sh, ch, oo etc.) covered in Finding Out 1.

Word Count 61 - 119 words per story. Word count of stories within Fun Phonics Readers Book 1 begin at 61 words per story and build very gradually to 119 words per story. |

Phonics & Vocabulary Fun Phonics Reader Book 3 contains 20 beautifully illustrated stories. All phonics from Finding Out 1, 2 and 3 are incorporated into Fun Phonics Readers Book 3. Again, phonics and vocabulary for previous books are recycled in Book 3. |
